Atomic Bomb

What is it?
The atomic bomb was the deadliest weapon ever created in the history of war. Albert Einstein created the Atomic Bomb which was kept in secret code name known as the Manhattan Project. The Manhattan Project was when a group of selected scientist came together to create the bomb. One of the scientists was from Germany so he already knew how the atoms reacted with each other from his overseas research with the scientific team in Germany. Since he was a Jewish scientist and there was the prosecution of the Jews by Hitler over in Germany the scientist decided to come over to the United States. This is when the United States created the deadliest weapon. The atomic bomb was used during WWII because there was an endless war between the Japanese and other countries surrounding the area. So scientist told the military to drop the bomb without warning, against a target that would clearly show its devastating strength, with no technical demonstration, and it had to be used against an enemy target. So the United States dropped the first atomic bomb over Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945 and three days later a second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. This resulted in hundreds of thousands of people dying which showed the bomb's strength. This is what made WWII come to an end because it destroyed what the countries were fighting over and all of the troops in Japan. The atomic bomb had many devastating effects.
Why is it important?
The atomic bomb is important because it is the most dangerous war weapon ever created in history. This is also important because it is the reason why the second world war came to an end. It ended WWII and stopped the fighting. It was also important because this was the first use any military has fought a war with nuclear war weapons and symbolized a new era of technology being invented during WWII.
Does it show progress?
Sadly the atomic bomb did show progress. It may seem unlikely that dropping the bomb over Japan which resulted in thousands of deaths was a progress but it was a progress in another sense. Progress was shown when WWII finally came to an end after fighting viciously between countries in Asia. There has also been progress when the most dangerous nuclear weapon was created because in the technology department this took a lot more thinking and the United States took weapons of war to an all new level. The making of the atomic bomb and the ending of WWII became a progress in history.
Leading to...
The atomic bomb helped lead to the next era in history known as the Korean War because with all the new advancements in technology of war weapons more wars in the future will be influenced to build deadlier weapons. So during the Korean War there were more powerful weapons created that were inspired by the creation of the atomic bomb.
