The Great Depression
Is History a History of Progress?
This is an image that shows a family living in a tent in the middle of no where. The people in the picture have rags for clothing, look dirty, look sad, and look like they are starving. Families in the Great Depression struggled to live. Most of them lost their jobs and houses and that is shown in the picture because their new house is a tent and their father is not shown probably because he was out looking for a job. Since families had no money the clothing that families had were what they had on their backs which were usually rags like in the photo. You can see the dirt on the poor people's faces because they had nowhere to bathe. Families were starving during the Great Depression and that is shown because there is no food on the table. This picture truly shows how families were struggling during the Great Depression.
